You might already be aware of making UPI payments with a Rupay credit card, where you can pay to merchants’ UPI accounts. However, there are also some apps that allow you to add money through Rupay credit cards, and then you can transfer that money to your bank account.
For example, in the Jio Finance app, Jio Payment Bank provides banking services and lets you add money using your Rupay credit card. You can use Jio Payment Bank just like a traditional bank.

#1. First Method [Via Jio Finance App] – Not Working
If you’re not familiar with the — Jio Finance App: The Super App For UPI, Payment and Banking, it is recently launched by Reliance. Aside from recharge and bill payments, it offers UPI and banking features (through Jio Payment Bank). It also provides cashback and rewards on online payments.
If you’ve opened a Jio Payment Bank account, you can add money to it using your Rupay credit card.
To do this:
- Open the JioFinance app
- Go to Jio Payments Bank -> Add Money
- Select BHIM UPI -> Choose Rupay credit card.
#2. Second Method [Via True Balance App] – Not Working
True Balance is mainly a loan app, but it also offers services like recharge, bill payments, money transfers, and a digital wallet. It’s an RBI-approved platform.
- After registering on the app, you’ll see a “Pay” option.
- In the “Pay” section, you’ll find an “Add Money” option.
- You will be asked to do KYC, complete KYC and now you will be able to add money. You will only need a PAN card to do KYC.
- Now go to add money again and choose UPI to add money using your Rupay credit card
- You can send this money to your bank account.
#3. Third Method [With Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card]
When you add money to your Amazon Pay wallet using the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card, there’s a 2.36% charge. However, you also get a 2% cashback. So after adjusting the cashback, you’ll effectively be transferring money at just a 0.36% charge.
