Browse & Earn with Bing Rewards
Did you know Microsoft rewards users for using its Bing browser? It was launched in 2010 to encourage users to use Microsoft products and services by offering points (or credits) for activities like searching with Bing, shopping on Microsoft Store, and completing quizzes or tasks. As per Microsoft’s official data, it is available in 193 countries worldwide, including Australia, India, Brazil, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
With Microsoft Bing Rewards, users can earn credits that can be redeemed for rewards such as Spotify Premium, Croma, Amazon, Flipkart, and Bookmyshow gift vouchers.

Levels on Bing Rewards
Microsoft Rewards has a level system that lets you earn points faster and unlock more benefits. There are three levels:
- Member
- Silver Member
- Gold Member
As you move up, you will get a chance to earn more points daily. They are like tiers that show how active and consistent you are. Every new user starts as a Member. If you regularly search using Bing, and complete activities, you can move up to Silver or Gold, which gives you more rewards in less time.
Benefits of Each Level
- Member: You earn 15 points per day via Bing search.
- Silver Member: You earn 30 points per day.
- Gold Member: Best tier for active users. You earn 60 points daily just from Bing.
How to Reach Higher Levels
To move up levels, you need to earn a specific number of points within a month and complete some easy activities:
- To reach Silver, earn 500 points in one month (no activities needed).
- To reach Gold, earn 750 points and complete 2 level-up activities in the same month.
Level Progress System
You need 750 points to reach Gold. Tasks like searching 7 days in a row, using the Bing app, and setting Bing as default help you level up.
1. Search Points
Bing gives points for daily searches, but there’s a limit. Higher levels (like Gold) have more daily and monthly point caps than lower ones.
2. Bonus Rewards
2.1. Default Search Bonus
Bing checks if it’s set as your default search engine. If you keep it that way for 14 days in one month, you get extra points. The system tracks how many days you meet this goal. If you fall short, you earn less for that month.
2. Bing STAR Bonus
You get extra points only for real, clean searches. Bing avoids giving points for spam or fake searches. It gives you extra points, up to 2,100 per month, but only if your searches are real, useful, and follow the rules.
Microsoft doesn’t count spammy or repeated searches. It looks for:
- Unique search topics (not the same thing over and over).
- Natural behavior (like searching for things you actually want to know).
- No tricks (using bots, scripts, or fake clicks will block your bonus).
Your dashboard shows how many STAR points you’ve earned so far. If it says something like “3/2100,” it means you’ve earned 3 points out of a possible 2,100 this month. You need to keep searching normally to raise that number.
At the end of the month, if you’ve met the goals, Microsoft adds the bonus points to your account, usually in the first few days of the next month.
3. Daily Challenges
Search 7 days in a row and get extra points. You also get offers like Xbox Game Pass cards, which use points to unlock rewards.
How Much Can You Make With Microsoft Bing Rewards?
If you’re a Gold member and use Bing Rewards regularly and smartly, you can earn around 4,500 to 5,000 points per month. That’s only if you consistently take advantage of all the main bonus options.
Here’s how the points usually add up:
Daily Search Points: As a gold member, you can get up to 60 points a day, which means up to 1,800 points a month.
Gold Level Bonus: You will earn 420 extra points per month if you remain in Gold tier.
Default Search Bonus: If you keep Bing as your default search engine for at least 14 days, you can earn up to 210 points monthly.
Bing STAR Bonus: If your searches are real and follow Microsoft’s guidelines, you could earn up to additional 2,100 points per month.
So in total, that’s:
1,800 (daily) + 420 (level bonus) + 210 (default search) + 2,100 (STAR bonus) = 4,530 points/month
This estimate is for a regular user who isn’t doing Xbox or Game Pass activities. If you include those, some people manage to cross 10,000 points a month, but that takes a lot more time and effort. For most users just doing daily searches and keeping things simple, earning 4,000 to 4,500 points a month is very doable. That’s enough for a few small gift cards or even a subscription, just by using Bing like you normally do.
